Lenore Mullican

Lenore Lindsey Mullican is Professor Emeritus of Oral Roberts University. She received an MA in Biblical Literature and an MA in Advanced Biblical Languages from Oral Roberts University. She recently retired after teaching Modern Hebrew and Biblical Hebrew at ORU for thirty-one years. The daughter of Robert and Margaret Lindsey, Professor Mullican grew up in Israel where her father pastored the Narkis congregation in Jerusalem. She left Israel to attend the University of Oklahoma receiving a BA in Nursing. With her husband Ken Mullican, a medical microbiologist, she served at the Baptist Hospital in the Gaza strip for five years after studying Arabic in Bethlehem. Professor Mullican and her husband founded the ministry HaKesher whose purpose was helping Christians understand their Hebrew roots. She has written several articles and “A Handbook of Biblical Hebrew Based on Ruth.” Her husband passed away last year and she spends time with her two children and eight grandchildren. Her love of languages continues as she meets with students and teachers studying Biblical texts.
