Brad H. Young

Brad H. Young (PhD Hebrew University) is the founder and president of the Gospel Research Foundation, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A founding member of the Jerusalem School of Synoptic Research, he is emeritus professor of New Testament Studies in the Graduate School of Theology at Oral Roberts University, where he has taught advanced language and translation courses as well as the Jewish foundations of Christianity to graduate students for over thirty years. He is the lead translator of the Hebrew Heritage Bible Newer Testament and president of the Ecumenical Theological Research Fraternity in Israel. Dr. Young serves on the faculty of the Jerusalem Seminary.

Young earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Judaism and Early Christianity at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel, where he studied for ten years. His doctoral dissertation, written under the supervision of Professor David Flusser, was published by Paulist Press as Jesus and His Jewish Parables: Rediscovering the Roots of Jesus’ Teaching (1989), which can be purchased from the JP Bookstore. Young has also authored Jesus the Jewish Theologian (1995), The Parables: Jewish Tradition and Christian Interpretation (1998), Meet the Rabbis (2007), and Paul the Jewish Theologian (1997).
