Did Jesus ever drink from a glass made by Ennion when he dined in the home of a wealthy sympathizer?

Somewhere in or near Sidon on the Mediterranean coast in the first century C.E. there lived a glassmaker named Ennion whose workshop produced fine specimens of mold-blown glass tablewares that were sold throughout the Roman Empire.[1] It is unlikely that Jesus ever encountered Ennion himself or that he ever drank from an Ennion-made vessel, but knowing a little about this famous glassmaker can help bring Jesus’ distant and too often seeming two-dimensional world to life.

Conclusion

While the glassmaker named Ennion may never have crossed paths with Jesus, the fine mold-blown tablewares he produced offer a fascinating glimpse into the world in which Jesus lived.
