Dear JP readers,
This message is to inform you that Jerusalem Perspective is switching over to a new membership system. Formerly your JP membership was handled through a program called “Magic Members,” but starting now, future memberships will be handled through “Woo Commerce.”
What Do I Have to Know?
Because of the changeover your old JP subscription will not automatically renew. If you recently purchased a one-year membership, you won’t need to do anything until your current subscription expires. But if you are on a monthly billing plan, you’ll notice the difference on the next billing cycle.
To continue receiving access to JP’s premium content you’ll need to add a Payment Method to your account.
What Do I Have to Do?
All active user accounts have been added to the new system, so you can easily set up your new subscription by taking the following steps:
1. Log in to JP and go to your new dashboard. The dashboard link appears just below the login area.
2. Add a payment method to your account by pressing “My Subscription.” On the next screen press the “Add Payment” button and enter your new payment method.
3. Turn on Auto Renew: For automatic payments (especially helpful with monthly billing, but useful for other plans, too) your subscription needs you to toggle the Auto Renew switch.
That’s all there is to it. We’ve done all we can to make this transition as smooth and easy as possible for our users, but if you run into any difficulties please let us know by writing to support@jerusalemperspective.com. Be sure to include your username and email address in the message and to specify the problem you identified.
How Much Time Do I Have?
How soon you have to act depends on how often you were billed previously. If you were on a monthly plan, you’ll need to act fairly soon for uninterrupted access to JP’s Premium Content. If you were only billed once a year and you paid for your membership recently, then you have more time.
But why wait and take a chance at missing all the exciting things that are happening at JP?
In December JP will be releasing a collection of articles that focus on the story of the magi in Matthew’s Gospel. The articles explore the Jewish backgrounds of this fascinating scene from a variety of angles: linguistic, literary, astronomical and historical. A number of other new articles are also in the works. Update your account now and be sure to have uninterrupted access to JP’s content.
Why Is This Happening?
The main reason this change is happening is that the old system had become outdated and needed to be replaced. The new system for handling membership subscriptions has increased security, more versatility regarding payment methods, and should give users a better experience overall.
Change isn’t always easy, but it is often necessary to ensure that an organization’s mission can carry on into the future. That’s what JP is aiming for.
