Halvor Ronning is director of the Home for Bible Translators in Jerusalem. A founding member of the Jerusalem School of Synoptic Research, Ronning received his Ph.D. in Comparative Religions from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His dissertation, "The Direction of Literary Dependence between the Gospels of Luke and Mark," was prepared under the direction of Professor David Flusser.
